Whiston Road, E2
The proposals were designed to follow the scale and rhythm of massing of the surrounding areas. Given the site’s small size and close proximity to the wider regeneration, a scheme with a higher quality design was produced, allowing 15 purpose built units to be created.
This residential development consisted of 4 units per floor wrapped around a central service and access core. The third (top) floor consists of 3 units with generous and attractive floor areas.
The architecture has been characterised by robust elevations with punched openings with a materials palette of predominantly brick and panel facades. Adopting such design principles has shaped and produced a highly prosperous development.
